HALLOWEEN 2004
October 2nd - Day 2
It's The Scarecrow.
Look familiar. I had a version of the scarecrow a few years back. This one was more fun to build this time around as I had more time and was able to build a proper frame for him. Most all of the props this year will have wooden frames. I've jointed the knees, elbows and shoulders as well as making them have the ability to twist at the waste and shoulders. I'd like to be able to use the frame for several years and just change out costumes as I see fit.
He's chewing on a severed foot this year. The rats at his feet in the photos below show them in greater detail. I scored a whole pile of rats in August this year so you'll notice them in a lot of the scenes as I progress.
In the photo below you can barely make out the little crow on his shoulder. Some mornings I'm really into bizarre little details. Other mornings I'm half asleep and forget half of what I had planned.
Ah, here's my friends the rats and their morning meal. Yum!
