Day 12 - Tennis
No real reason for this scene. Just another one of those things that popped into my head and I had to build it to make it go away.
I had a lot of internal debate about which way to have the racket go through him. Front to back, back to front. Tried to think like a deranged tennis player but have no point of reference so I went with what I thought would be the easiest way to sneak up on someone if I had the urge to impale them with a tennis racket
Mind you, I rarely have that urge any more.
I just love the outfits. Shoulders are a little wide but most folks won't really notice.
They almost both got ties as well but I just didn't have the energy.
I was having a heck of a time glueing the eyeballs in place tonight. I think there's more hot glue on me than the props.
Fairly simple frames. Just a heavy duty metal fence post and a couple of chunks of 2"x4". I drilled a hole in the center of each 2"x4" and then slid a hose clamp down the pole where I wanted the pants to come up to. After I tightened it in place I drop a 2"x4" down. Set the next hose clamp towards the top for the shoulders and dropped the second 2"x4" on the top of it. Five minute frame. Hang pants and a shirt and stuff them to your liking. Half the time I put nothing in the clothes to fill them out. Tonight I had some stuffing at hand so they got a little. Garage sales provide me with shoes to set at their feet and hands can be any old thing. Tennis victim tonight actually has two left hands since that's all I had. If I hadn't pointed it out most folks would have never noticed.
