CLOWNS

Too many people talked about clowns this year. I couldn't pass on them after that.
Modeled after no one in particular but everyone guessed that it was the clown from IT. Who am I to argue. Built to stand over 7' tall and using bucky arms on an extended frame he wound up hard to place because of his size. He freaked out a lot of folks. I had a fan blowing air up into his suit that made the costume move. Combined with the strobe light flashing on the moving suit he looked like he was striding forward. A little breeze and the severed head would gently sway in the breeze while being held in his bony grasp.
The twins rode the motorized teeter totter up and down much to everyones delight. If we hadn't brought the stupid teeter totter back we were going to be lynched. Folks were stopping by asking where it was after the first day of setup. Not everyone liked the twins though. Lots of clown phobias were revisited or born during this years show. I'm expecting kick-back checks from the local therapists any day now.
The undercarriage for the twins is just those cheesey skeletons that you see wearing tuxes and singing "Hot Hot Hot". They can be had cheap at the local Goodwills and garage sales shortly after Halloween each year. Nice wired arms that are easy to position. Just cut the legs at about the knees and tape them back together using duct tape while they're in the bent position. Now you've got a cheap jointed frame to dress up.
Their hands this year were crafted by Brenda using Playtex gloves filled with newspaper bags to give them substance.
